Two French women playing their songs on guitar and banjo, mixing americana, folk, rock, French chanson and a little bit of South American folk (Oaio lived in Argentina for a while). POLLYANNA Pollyanna is a folk-rock project lead by Isabelle Casier. Her honest songwriting and her heart-warming voice remind of the edgy charm of PJ Harvey, Ani di Franco and Johnny Cash. Despite a natural flair for minor chords, Isabelle’s cheerful presence, eclectic taste and experiences as an outsider (in Europe, the USA, South America...) open up her musical field to all things pop, rock, folk and folklores. Casier writes songs in English, but uses her French taste for poetry and social commentary. As an ex-journalist, she loves to deal with 21th century obsessions, often with a bittersweet sense of humour. https://linktr.ee/pollyannamusic OAIO Oaio is a French singer-songwriter. Born in France with roots in Ardèche, Italy and Maghreb, her first move was to try to save the planet. Then she thought of settling down in Argentinian mountains, but finally was called by music and writing. Since 2020, she has been singing in French, and sometimes in English and Spanish, and explores her recollected world. Her songs are like an intimate manifesto for a poetic reconciliation. An ambiguous and open-minded music with guitar, vocals, banjo, ukulele, and stunning vocals, reminiscent of Joan Baez, Camille or Lhasa. - Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZpNLnv_imqg
