Side by Side with Ricki Wood/ Ally Row / Erin McKinney GIPPSLAND
Side by Side – Live at Briagolong Mechanics Institute Friday 3rd October | Doors 6:30pm | Music from 7pm BYO drinks, nibbles, rugs, cushions – make yourself at home Come and be part of something special as three singer-songwriters — Ally Row, Todd Cook, and Ricki Wood — share the stage side by side for an evening of original music, honest stories, and heartfelt connection. Ally Row blends toe-tapping energy with raw emotion. Armed with velvety harmonies, guitar, piano, modernised banjo, harmonica, and stomp box, their dynamic sound breaks genre barriers and brings audiences to their feet. Ricki Wood is a country folk and acoustic singer-songwriter whose music walks the line between earthy simplicity, humour and emotional depth. Drawing from a life well-travelled and a heart still wide open, Ricki shares songs shaped by personal experience and a quiet yearning for something more — connection, truth, and the kind of meaning you don’t always find in words. Erin McKinney is an East Gippsland singer-songwriter whose music blends heartfelt storytelling with the grit and warmth of country roots. Known for her work with the band Three Chain Road, Erin’s sound carries the honesty of rural life, weaving together classic country tones with contemporary folk influences. With her down-to-earth presence, she creates music that feels lived-in, relatable, and unmistakably Gippsland. This is a family-friendly, community-inclusive event where everyone is welcome. Bring your drinks, your snacks, your blankets, your favourite people — settle in and soak up the kind of night that reminds us why music matters. We’d love you to come and make some memories, share some laughs, and be part of the connection. BYO drinks welcome — just remember it’s a shared community space, so please enjoy responsibly and look after one another.
