The celebrations begin at 6.15pm with a lantern parade, followed by a performance from the Fron at 6.30pm in the atmospheric surroundings of Chirk Castle. The event forms part of a year-long programme celebrating Chirk Aqueduct, designed by Thomas Telford and completed in 1801. The aqueduct carries the Llangollen Canal across the Ceiriog Valley and forms part of the UNESCO Pontcysyllte Aqueduct & Canal World Heritage Site. Oxford Welsh Male Voice Choir welcomes the Fron Male Voice Choir to Oxford Town Hall for a very special Annual Gala Concert on Saturday 31 October 2026.
